Platanos and Collard Greens has enchanted audiences not only in New York City, but across the country

Platanos Y Collard Greens has performed at over 200 colleges and universities across the country from California to Texas to Rhode
Island to Illinois to Tennessee. There are minimal technical requirements and the show can be performed in nearly any space from a
school cafeteria to the gymnasium to the auditorium. No special lighting is needed. (See the bottom of this page for a partial listing of
schools at which we have performed.)

You can now book Platanos Y Collard Greens to perform at your middle, junior or high school.

This past school year, Platanos Y Collard Greens, performed at over 20 different middle, junior high and high schools in all five
boroughs across the City. This was an amazing experience as the content of the play relates so directly to the lives of the students,
their parents, and community members.

There are two ways to book Platanos at your school for the 2010-2011 school year:

You can book the show to be performed during the school day for the students (the fee will be determined based on the size of your
auditorium and number of students)

or

You can book the show to be performed during the evening for parents, staff and other community members. Under this model, the
performance is generally used as a fundraiser with the school selling tickets to the parents and community, and a portion of the ticket
sales are used to pay the performance fee and a portion of the ticket sales are kept as a fundraiser for the school or parent association.
(Ticket prices, performance fee, and schedule will be determined based on the size of your auditorium.)

Tour Extras: In addition to allowing students to experience and educational and entertaining Off Broadway play, the tour provided two
other opportunities for the students to participate in the Platanos Y Collard Greens experience; (1) Each school received the Platanos
Y Collard Greens Study Guide, which is inspired by the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts and can be used as a teaching
tool to further enhance the experience of seeing live theater; and (2) Students from each school were eligible to participate in the
Everybody is a Star program. The program gave children a chance to realize a dream of performing on stage by winning the Once In
A Lifetime Opportunity to Have a Walk On Role in the Off-Broadway Production of Platanos & Collard Greens at our theater in midtown Manhattan. We are so proud to have four amazing students perform in Platanos Y Collard Greens Off Broadway on May 29th, 2010.

Platanos Y Collard Greens can be used as a fundraiser for your church, school, or nonprofit organization.
There are two way that you can use the play to raise funds:

• You can buy a block of group tickets at a discount and sell them to your members at regular prices or a markup and keep the difference as a fundraiser for you organization.
• You can book the play to be performed at your venue and keep a portion of ticket sales as a fundraiser for your organization.
